I just watched a couple of news movie clips at msn.com on Hurricane Katrina’s damages to Louisiana and Mississippi. Seriously, the situations are really bad: hundreds if not thousands of people may have died (estimated by New Orleans mayor Ray Nagin): many residents are still being stranded on roof tops or somewhere isolated waiting for help; a lot more people, although no longer imminently threatened by the flood for their lives, are facing rapidly deteriorating surviving conditions that lack food, water, and sanitary care; not to mention the tremendous property damages that simply hit bottom those heartbroken and desperate owners –to make the situation worse, a lot of them probably have already lost their jobs as well; yet lootings and gang fighting are taking places -what a devastating mess Katrina has left!
